DATCP is currently recruiting for an LTE – Records and Forms Clerk to fill a Limited Term Employment opportunity with the Office of Legal Counsel in the Agency’s Office of the Secretary.

This position is located at 2811 Agriculture Drive in Madison, WI. DATCP is in the Prairie Oaks State Office Building situated on Madison's southeast side. We are only minutes away from the Beltline Highway, Interstate 90 and Highway 51 for quick access to local restaurants, retail and service locations.
This position is expected work up to 40 hours per week and may have the ability to work remote up to 60% of scheduled workdays! An approved remote work agreement is required before an employee may work remote. Approval of the employee’s remote work agreement and work schedule will vary based on the operational needs of the Division. All DATCP employees who work remote are required to live in Wisconsin.

Position Summary

This position provides department-wide support on both records retention and open records requests.

As a member of the Office of Legal Counsel, the position serves as one of the points of contact for the department for records management. This work requires a high degree of professionalism, efficiency, independence, and accuracy: to ensure compliance with Wisconsin's public records law; to facilitate the management of records; to dispose of records in accordance with approved records dispositions authorizations; to maintain accurate records; and to support operations within the Office of Legal Counsel. This position holds responsibility for review, identification and proposed resolution of records related issues as they emerge.

60% - Assist with the process of responding to records requests pursuant to the Wisconsin Public Records Law.

40% - Support the Office of the Legal Counsel.

Pay will be $25.00 - $28.00 per hour, commensurate with experience.

For current and eligible former State employees, compensation will be set in accordance with the State Compensation Plan effective at the time of hire.

These OJT opportunities include direct experience and practice through collaboration with co-workers/supervisor, peer mentoring, and job-specific training modules.

A criminal background check will be performed on the selected applicant prior to an offer of employment.

Applicant must be a resident of Wisconsin (18 years of age or older).

Limited term positions are not civil service classified positions, do not have rights to permanent civil service classified positions, and do not lead to permanent status.

This position is Limited Term Employment (LTE) and is limited to 1,039 hours in 26 consecutive pay periods (1 year).

Qualifications

Minimally qualified candidates will have each of the following:
