Job summary

Presbyterian Homes & Services (PHS) is seeking a Pharmacy Data Entry Technician to join the Radius Living Rx team. You will process prescriptions, maintain patient profiles in FrameworkLTC, and assist facilities and patients with questions, ensuring accurate, timely service.

Reporting to the Front End Manager, you will work with pharmacists to adjudicate claims and support medication fulfillment. A high school diploma or equivalent and an active pharmacy technician license are required;

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree in healthcare or related field preferred.
• Active and valid pharmacy technician license/certification required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills tailored to healthcare professionals.
• Strong customer service and phone skills.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
• Understanding of medication terminology, insurance processes, and pharmacy regulations.
• Preferred prior experience in a pharmacy or healthcare customer service role, preferably in long-term care.
• Preferred familiarity with LTC pharmacy software systems (ie. FrameworkLTC).

Responsibilities

• Process incoming calls, faxes, and email to establish and maintain patient profiles in FrameworkLTC.
• Receive prescriptions and refill requests and verify information for completeness and accuracy.
• Process prescriptions using third party insurance billing.
• Assist facilities and patients with questions and refer them to the pharmacist for medication information as needed.
• Adjudicate prescriptions and address rejected claims.
• Follow up with facilities on medication and profile concerns.
• Assist with packaging prescriptions for urgent medication fills as needed.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor or supervising pharmacist.
