Job summary

Carle Health is seeking an LPN for the NT7 Digestive Surgical Unit in Urbana, IL. The role involves medications, IV piggybacks, wound and drain care, and close collaboration with RNs and physicians. The unit is high-acuity with 43 beds and a focus on bariatric and surgical patients.

Qualifications

• Illinois LPN license required.
• BLS within 30 days required.
• College diploma: Licensed Practical Nurse (Required).

Responsibilities

• Pass medications and Hang IV piggybacks and fluids.
• Chart assessments after RN initial assessment.
• Chart care plans with RN involvement.
• Coordinate with physicians/APPs for orders and care.
• Dressing changes, Trach care, NG tube care, ostomy care.
• Reinforce discharge instructions.
