Job summary

Dyersburg Health and Rehabilitation Center is seeking a Staff Development Coordinator / Scheduler (LPN) in Dyersburg, TN. This full-time role focuses on coordinating ongoing education, competency training, and maintaining nursing staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage and regulatory compliance.

The position emphasizes fostering a positive workplace culture and promoting excellence in resident care within a skilled nursing environment.

Qualifications

• Current LPN license in good standing required.
• Experience in long-term care or skilled nursing preferred.
• Experience with staff scheduling and/or staff education is highly desirable.
• Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills required.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with scheduling software and Microsoft Office applications.
• Knowledge of state and federal regulations for skilled nursing facilities is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and conduct staff education and in-service training.
• Maintain employee education records and competencies in accordance with state and federal regulations.
• Develop and manage nursing staff schedules while maintaining appropriate staffing levels.
• Coordinate schedule changes, call-ins, and coverage needs.
• Work collaboratively with nursing leadership to address staffing needs and ensure quality resident care.
• Assist with compliance related to infection prevention, mandatory training, and continuing education requirements.
• Monitor and track certifications, licenses, and required annual competencies.
• Support quality improvement initiatives and participate in regulatory surveys as needed.
• Promote a positive, team-oriented work environment through coaching and staff support.
