Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services, a BioLife subsidiary, seeks a Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) to support plasma center operations in Rockford, IL. You will determine donor eligibility, manage adverse events, review laboratory results, and notify donors of unsuitable results under the guidance of the Center Manager and Center Physician.

Role requires familiarity with plasma collection regulations, EHS guidance, and FDA training completed for BioLife Medical Support Specialist.

Qualifications

• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license in the state of responsibility.
• CPR and AED certification required.
• Two years of clinical or hospital experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility including medical history and informed consent.
• Evaluate donor reactions and medical emergencies per SOPs.
• Refer to Center Physician or Medical Affairs for medical issues.
• Support vaccination programs for employees as applicable.
• Assist with environmental, health and safety compliance as needed.
