Job summary

Essentia Health in Fargo, ND is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse or Certified Medical Assistant to serve in our Urgent Care Clinics. This is a .6 FTE FLEX position and could work a variety of shifts in the Urgent care space.

Qualifications

• LPN licensure current in North Dakota upon hire.
• LPN license in Minnesota required within 3 months of hire.
• CMA certification or registration; must become certified within one year of date of hire.
• Medication Assistant III registration with ND BON within 60 days of hire/transfer.
• AHA Basic Life Support (BCLS) certification within 3 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assists RN, Physician and other providers and delivers direct patient care in ambulatory care.
• Performs identified procedures within demonstrated competencies.
• Cares for patients from newborn to elderly according to age-related guidelines.

Licensure/CertificationQualifications:

• LPN: Current LPN license in the state of North Dakota upon hire.


• LPN: Minnesota LPN license required within 3 months of hire.


• CMA: Current registration or certification as a Medical Assistant OR verifiable completion of a Medical Assistant Program and must become certified withinone year of date of hire. Must pass certification withintwo attempts.


• CMA: Must be registered as a Medication Assistant III through the North Dakota Board of Nursing within 60 days of hire/transfer. Clinical Assistant can NOT administer medication prior to being registered as a MAIII through the ND BON.


• ALL: AHA Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification within 3 months of hire.
