Job summary

Essentia Health seeks a licensed practical nurse (LPN) or certified medical assistant (CMA) for our South University Pediatrics clinic in Fargo, ND. 24 hours per week with flex scheduling and no weekend or on-call rotations.

8 am–5 pm, Monday through Friday, with potential rotation to Lights Clinic in West Fargo. The role supports ambulatory pediatric care, includes direct patient care, and requires relevant licensure and BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Must hold a North Dakota LPN license (or equivalent)
• Minnesota LPN license required within 3 months of hire if applicable
• CMA certification or complete an approved MA program and become certified within 1 year
• Must register as MA-III with ND BON within 60 days of hire/transfer
• BLS (AHA) certification within 3 months of hire

Responsibilities

• Assist RN, physician and other providers; provide direct patient care in ambulatory setting
• Care for patients from newborn to elderly as per age categories
• Perform identified procedures within demonstrated competencies

You may be required to float to the Lights Clinic in West Fargo as well. This LPN or CMA usually works 24 hours per week, but this is a flex position where the schedule may be flexed upward or downward without notice based on the needs of the facility. Shifts will occur from 8 am to 5 pm, Monday through Friday. No weekend, holiday, or on-call rotations are required.
