Job summary

Essentia Health in Moorhead area is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse or Certified Medical Assistant to support our Urgent Care Clinics. This PRN role offers flexible day/evening shifts in ambulatory care with licensure requirements across MN/ND.

Typical duties include assisting RN/physician with patient care and performing procedures within competency. Benefits include comprehensive coverage and tuition assistance.

Qualifications

• LPN licensed in MN within 3 months of hire.
• CMA registration/certification or CMA program completion with certification within 1 year of hire.
• MAIII registration with ND Board of Nursing within 60 days of hire/transfer.

Job Description: Essentia in Fargo/Moorhead is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse or Certified Medical Assistant to serve in our Urgent Care Clinics. This is a PRN position, and could work a Varity of shifts in the Urgent care space. Education Qualifications: LPN Education as required for licensure.

What You’ll Do

• Assists RN, Physician and other providers and provides direct patient care in the ambulatory care setting to contribute to meeting the mission and goals of Essentia Health.
• Will perform identified procedures for which competencies have been demonstrated.
• Cares for patients ranging in age from newborn to elderly as noted on age-related category.

Licensure/Certification Qualifications

• LPN: Current LPN license in the state of North Dakota upon hire.
• LPN: Minnesota LPN license required within 3 months of hire.
• CMA: Current registration or certification as a Medical Assistant OR verifiable completion of a Medical Assistant Program and must become certified within one year of date of hire. Must pass certification within two attempts.
• CMA: Must be registered as a Medication Assistant III through the North Dakota Board of Nursing within 60 days of hire/transfer. Clinical Assistant can NOT administer medication prior to being registered as a MAIII through the ND BON.
• ALL: AHA Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification within 3 months of hire.
