Job summary

Bethesda Health is seeking an LPN to provide basic nursing care, perform assessments, document care, and participate in the care planning process for residents. You will communicate changes to the IDT, ensure timely interventions and safe medication administration, and maintain professional conduct in crisis situations.

The role requires current LPN licensure, CPR/AED and IV certifications or willingness to obtain within six months, and LTC experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Licensed Practical Nurse education from an accredited program.
• Current LPN license in the state of employment.
• CPR and AED certification required or willing to obtain within six months.
• IV certification required or willing to obtain within six months.
• Long-term care experience preferred.
• Ability to assess basic nursing care needs of geriatric residents.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic nursing care by assessing residents on admission and ongoing basis.
• Communicate changes in resident condition to the IDT team and residents/families.
• Document assessments accurately and timely; update care plans as interventions change.
• Deliver nursing interventions and ensure safe medication administration and treatments.
• Use SBARR for physician communication and respond calmly to crises.
• Support residents with ADLs and participate in continuing nursing education.
