Job summary

Bethesda Health is hiring a Licensed Practical Nurse to provide essential nursing care, assist with resident assessments, and participate in care planning. You will document changes, administer medications, and communicate with the interdisciplinary team and families to ensure safe, person-centered care.

The role requires an active LPN license, CPR/AED and IV certification or plans to obtain them within six months, and a commitment to continuing education.

Qualifications

• Education from an accredited school of nursing resulting in LPN.
• Current LPN license in the state you will be working
• CPR/AED certification required or willing to obtain within six months
• IV certification required or willing to obtain within six months
• Long-term care experience preferred
• Must assess basic nursing care needs of geriatric residents
• Excellent communication with residents, families and staff
• Strong time management and organizational skills
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods
• Ability to lift heavy objects with proper technique and assistance

Responsibilities

• Provide basic nursing care and assist in resident assessment at admission and ongoing
• Document assessments accurately and communicate changes to the IDT
• Participate in care planning and update the plan as interventions change
• Administer medications and treatments safely and timely
• Notify physician using SBARR; maintain composure during crises
• Support residents with ADLs and respond to call lights as needed
• Complete continuing education requirements (12 hours minimum)
• Adhere to Bethesda policies and ensure safe care delivery
