Job summary

Advocate Health in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Full-time Medical Assistant in the Steele Creek Internal Medicine department. This 40-hour/week role offers a pay range of $22.90 to $34.35 per hour and benefits eligibility, supporting patient care across adult populations.

You will perform routine tasks including vitals, history taking, lab prep, venipuncture, POCT, vaccines, and front-line support for clinicians, with emphasis on teamwork, safety, and adherence to CLIA standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; MA program or equivalent military clinical training.
• Current AHA BLS certification required; CMA/RMA certification preferred depending on division.
• Two years of experience as Medical Assistant in a clinical setting.

Responsibilities

• Room patients, take vital signs, and perform history and screenings.
• Assist providers with procedures and venipuncture; prepare labs and orders.
• Administer vaccines following rights of medication administration.
• Coordinate scheduling, referrals, and insurance authorizations.
