270 Carolinas Physicians Network, Inc. is seeking a Medical Assistant for the Steele Creek Internal Medicine department in Charlotte, NC.

The role supports clinicians by taking vital signs, patient history, medication reconciliation, screenings, and basic lab tasks in a 8am-5pm, Monday through Friday schedule. You will perform rooming, assist with procedures, handling venipuncture, CLIA waived tests, vaccine administration, and manage documentation while upholding safety and patient

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
• May have completed structured military training which is clinical in nature per DD214 in lieu of a formal medical assistant program or EMT.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to Medical Assistant scope of practice and policies.
• Performs rooming tasks: vital signs, med reconciliation, history, screenings.
• Assists provider with procedures and venipuncture.
• Performs CLIA waived lab tests and specimen handling.
• Administers medications and vaccines.
• Maintains clean work environment and stocking.
• Communicates effectively and escalates as needed.
