Job summary

Good Samaritan is a not-for-profit organization delivering housing and services to seniors in Brainerd, MN. The LPN position works 8-hour day shifts in a full-time role, with weekend/holiday rotation and a $10,000 sign-on bonus.

Responsibilities include providing professional nursing care, administering medications, maintaining documentation, and collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to ensure resident well-being.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited practical nursing program and obtain an LPN license.
• Associate degree in practical nursing is preferred.
• If IV therapy/management is required, ND-approved pathway or IV course is needed.
• Must have completed supervised clinical experience across life span or 400 hours as LPN.
• Keep current department competencies and CEU requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care for residents in long-term care under supervision.
• Demonstrate nursing principles appropriate to resident needs.
• Administer medications or treatments as ordered.
• Document resident interactions and outcomes.
• Communicate clearly and maintain confidentiality of information.
• Work as part of an interdisciplinary care team.
• Counsel residents and families on prevention and treatment plans.
