Job summary

Good Samaritan in Brainerd, MN is hiring a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for full-time, day shifts. The LPN provides professional nursing care to residents in long-term care under supervision, administers medications, and collaborates with an interdisciplinary team.

A $10,000 sign-on bonus is offered and the work schedule includes 6:00am–2:30pm with every other weekend/holiday. Requirements include graduation from an accredited LPN program and current licensure; associate degree preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited practical nursing program and become a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).
• Current unencumbered LPN license and, if applicable, multi-state licensure.
• If IV therapy/management is required, North Dakota requirements may apply.
• Maintain CEU and competency training as required by department and facility.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care for residents under supervision.
• Administer medications or treatments as ordered.
• Document resident interactions, outcomes and care plans.
• Communicate with residents, families and care team; maintain confidentiality.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care team to support resident well-being.
