GEO Secured Services, a division of The GEO Group, Inc., is seeking a qualified Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide high-quality nursing care to inmates/detainees. You will work closely with the Registered Nurse to develop care plans, perform assessments, administer medications, and maintain patient confidentiality in a secure setting.

The role emphasizes safe, compassionate care, adherence to policies, and utilization of healthcare resources to support detainee well‑being.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Must have a current, unrestricted LPN license in the facility's state.
• Two or more years of direct work experience preferred.
• Competence in crisis intervention, medical emergencies, physical assessment, medical nursing, and psychiatric nursing care.

Responsibilities

• Develop nursing care plans with guidance from the RN.
• Perform complete physical assessments and medical histories.
• Provide nursing care within your capacity and refer other medical problems to the physician.
• Administer prescribed medications as instructed.
• Periodically evaluate patients' symptoms, reactions, and progress and report issues to management.
• Securely administer medication and prevent hoarding and trafficking.
• Follow accreditation policies and document all detainee/inmate contacts and maintain confidentiality of medical records.
