The GEO Group Texas facility is hiring a compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse to work alongside the RN, delivering high-quality clinical care to inmates and detainees while upholding a safe, secure work environment.

You will develop nursing care plans, perform physical assessments, administer medications, monitor symptoms, document records accurately, and refer complex cases to physicians as needed. The role emphasizes professionalism, compliance, and teamwork.

Qualifikationen

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program; hold a current LPN license in the facility state.
• Two years of direct nursing experience preferred.
• Ability to perform crisis intervention, medical emergencies, and psychiatric nursing care.
• Must be able to work with minimal supervision and follow through on nursing diagnoses.

Aufgaben

• Develop nursing care plans with guidance from the RN.
• Perform complete physical assessment and medical history.
• Administer prescribed medications as instructed.
• Evaluate patients' symptoms and progress; report problems to management.
• Document detainee/inmate contacts and keep medical records confidential.
