GEO Secured Services seeks a Licensed Practical Nurse to support inmates/detainees with comprehensive nursing care alongside the RN, within a secure, confidential setting. You will help develop care plans and perform assessments while maintaining safety and compliance.

The role emphasizes administering medications, documenting medical records, and coordinating with physicians to ensure quality care for the detainee population. A competitive benefits package applies.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program with active LPN license in the facility's state.
• Two years of direct work experience preferred.
• Ability to perform nursing assessments and provide prescribed care.
• Ability to work with computers and required software.

Responsibilities

• Develop nursing care plans with guidance from the RN.
• Perform complete physical assessment and medical history.
• Provide nursing care within capacity and refer issues to physician.
• Ensure prescribed medications are administered as instructed.
• Periodically evaluate patient symptoms, reactions, and progress and report to management.
• Securely administer medications, prevent hoarding/trafficking.
• Follow accreditation policies and guidelines.
• Document detainee/inmate contacts and maintain medical records confidentially.
