Job summary

GEO Corrections & Detentions is hiring a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to work in a correctional setting. You will collaborate with the Registered Nurse to provide high‑quality care to inmates/detainees, administer medications, and maintain secure, confidential medical records.

The role requires a valid LPN license, a patient‑centered approach, and the ability to work with minimal supervision in a secure environment. This is a full‑time, on‑site position with a strong benefits package.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Two (2) years of direct work experience preferred.
• Competence in crisis intervention, medical emergencies, physical and psychiatric nursing care.

Responsibilities

• Develop nursing care plans with guidance from the RN.
• Perform complete physical assessment and medical history.
• Provide nursing care and refer issues to the physician as needed.
• Administer prescribed medications and monitor for side effects.
• Document detainee medical records confidentially and accurately.
