GEO Corrections & Detentions in Newark, NJ is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to join our correctional healthcare team. You will work alongside a Registered Nurse to develop nursing care plans, perform comprehensive assessments, and provide medication administration within a secure facility.

The role emphasizes patient confidentiality, crisis intervention, and continuous documentation of detainee medical records.

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
Current, unrestricted LPN license in NJ.
Minimum of two years of direct nursing experience.

Responsibilities

Develop nursing care plans with guidance from the RN.
Perform complete physical assessment and medical history.
Provide nursing care within your capacity and refer other medical problems to the physician.
Ensure prescribed medications are administered as instructed.
Periodically evaluate patients' symptoms, reactions, and progress.
Document detainee medical records confidentially.
