Job summary

Maxim Healthcare is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse for night shifts with a ventilator-dependent patient in Wasilla, Alaska. This full-time role features 12-hour shifts and hourly pay between $32 and $36, with higher earnings possible based on experience.

Qualifications

• Current LPN license for the state in which the nurse practices.
• Current PPD or Chest X-Ray.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to plan, implement, and evaluate patient care for contracted clients.
• Initiates the plan of care and requests revisions as patient needs change.
• Incorporates therapeutic, preventive, and rehabilitative nursing actions.
• Intervenes in response to changes in patient condition and reports to physician or supervisor.
• Administers medications and treatments as prescribed and tracks effectiveness.
• Reviews plan of care and identifies education, care coordination, and discharge planning needs.

Responsibilities:

• Utilizes the nursing process to plan, implement, and evaluate patient/client care and/or services provided to client(s) receiving contracted services, as required
• Initiates the plan of care when directed and requests from prescriber any necessary revisions as patient status and needs change
• Incorporates therapeutic, preventive, and rehabilitative nursing actions based on patient diagnosis and established goals
• Intervenes as applicable in response to changes in patient/client condition and reports such changes to appropriate physician or supervisor
• Administers medications and treatments as prescribed, as well as, monitors and documents effectiveness of intervention
• Reviews plan of care and program protocols and identifies areas for healthcare teaching/education, care coordination, goal setting and discharge planning needs, as applicable

Requirements:

• Current License Practical Nurse (LPN) License for the state in which the nurse practices.
• Current PPD or Chest X-Ray.
• Current BLS card.
• One year prior nurse experience preferred.
