Job summary

Maxim Healthcare Services, Inc. in Soldotna, AK seeks a Licensed Practical Nurse to care for a pediatric patient during night shifts, with a Friday–Sunday schedule. The nurse will apply the nursing process, administer medications, and adjust plans as the patient’s needs change.

Qualifications

• Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license for the practicing state.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
• Initiates the plan of care and revises as needed per prescriber.
• Implements therapeutic, preventive, and rehabilitative nursing actions.
• Intervenes and reports changes in patient condition to physician or supervisor.
• Administers medications and treatments and documents effectiveness.
• Reviews care plan and coordinates education, care, and discharge needs.

Maxim Healthcare is looking for a Licensed Practical Nurse to work with Pediatric patient in Soldotna night shifts.

Responsibilities:

• Utilizes the nursing process to plan, implement, and evaluate patient/client care and/or services provided to client(s) receiving contracted services, as required
• Initiates the plan of care when directed and requests from prescriber any necessary revisions as patient status and needs change
• Incorporates therapeutic, preventive, and rehabilitative nursing actions based on patient diagnosis and established goals
• Intervenes as applicable in response to changes in patient/client condition and reports such changes to appropriate physician or supervisor
• Administers medications and treatments as prescribed, as well as, monitors and documents effectiveness of intervention
• Reviews plan of care and program protocols and identifies areas for healthcare teaching/education, care coordination, goal setting and discharge planning needs, as applicable

Requirements:

• Current License Practical Nurse (LPN) License for the state in which the nurse practices.
