Aperion Care in Kokomo, IN is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide direct nursing care to residents and supervise nursing assistants, ensuring compliance with regulations. You will plan and oversee daily activities, administer medications, complete documentation, and maintain patient confidentiality in a warm, collaborative environment.

The role requires an active LPN license, CPR/First Aid, and the ability to work with diverse teams.

Qualifications

• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with a current unencumbered state license.
• CPR and First Aid certifications are required.
• Ability to be flexible and adaptable while handling multiple priorities.
• Experience in Long Term Care is preferred.
• Willing to take additional training or education, which specific states may require.

Responsabilités

• Be able to perform all functions under your active license as it pertains to your assigned duties.
• Know the residents you serve, providing care based on their care plans and physician orders.
• Prepare & administer medications as ordered by the physician.
• Develop & maintain a good working rapport with inter-departmental personnel, as well as other departments within the facility to ensure that nursing services and activities can be adequately maintained to meet the needs of the residents.
• Assist in all aspects of a resident’s daily life, including activities of daily living, meal service, and social engagement.
• Know how to approach and care for residents with dementia.
• Be willing to take on other duties and assignments within the scope of your knowledge and experience.
