Job summary

Aperion Care in Indiana is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide direct nursing care to residents and supervise nursing assistants, ensuring high-quality care in compliance with regulations.

You will administer medications, follow care plans, document processes, and collaborate with physicians, families, and staff in a warm, team-focused environment. Full-time roles include a $5,000 sign-on bonus, 401k, and paid holidays.

Qualifications

• LPN with a current unencumbered state license.
• Knowledge of nursing & medical practices & procedures, as well as relevant laws.
• Experience in Long Term Care is preferred.
• Willing to take additional training or education as required by states.
• CPR and First Aid certifications are required.
• Effective communication and time-management skills.
• Good judgment, problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

Responsibilities

• Be able to perform all functions under your active license as it pertains to your duties.
• Know the residents you serve, providing care based on care plans and physician orders.
• Prepare & administer medications as ordered by the physician.
• Develop & maintain a good working rapport with inter-departmental personnel to support nursing services.
• Assist in all aspects of a resident’s daily life, including activities of daily living and meals.
• Communicate with clinical leadership when a resident’s needs change.
• Know how to care for residents with dementia.
• Be willing to take on other duties within your knowledge and experience.
