Job summary

Bethesda Health Group is seeking an LPN to provide basic nursing care, assess residents, and support the care plan under the interdisciplinary team. You will document interventions, administer medications and treatments, and communicate changes promptly to the team and families.

Responsibilities include timely nursing interventions, IV/BP as permitted, and maintaining composure during crises. This role emphasizes safety, accuracy, and adherence to Bethesda policies while contributing to resident

Qualifications

• Education from an accredited school of nursing that results in becoming a Licensed Practical Nurse.
• Current LPN license in the state you will be working.
• CPR and AED certification required, or willing to obtain within six months of employment.
• IV certification required, or willing to obtain within six months of employment.
• Long-term care experience preferred.
• Must be able to assess basic nursing care needs of geriatric resident.
• Excellent communication skills with residents, visitors and staff.
• Time management and organizational skills required.
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods.
• Ability to lift heavy objects using proper lifting techniques and with assistance when necessary.
• Ability to transfer and move patients weighing 200+ lbs with assistance.
• Ability to push/pull equipment weighing over 40 lbs with assistance.
• Manual dexterity and ability to document electronically and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Provides basic nursing care by assisting in resident assessments and ongoing evaluations.
• Communicates significant changes to the interdisciplinary team and informs residents and families.
• Implements nursing interventions per the care plan and physician orders.
• Administers medications and treatments safely and timely; may require IV as certified.
• Documents interventions accurately and uses SBARR for physician communication.
• Maintains composure during crises and supports QAPI process for problem resolution.
