Person Memorial Hospital in Roxboro, NC is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for our Long-term Care unit on a PRN basis. You will work under an RN, administering medications, preparing patients for procedures, and contributing to patient care plans in a collaborative, multidisciplinary setting.

This role emphasizes compassionate care for seniors, supporting routine tasks, and ensuring smooth unit operations with a focus on patient well-being.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current state Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license and a high school diploma or GED.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required upon hire. New grads encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Under the supervision of an RN, carries out and documents assigned tasks and nursing interventions as addressed in the plan of care.
• Reviews and revises the plan of care.
• Monitors patient needs and alters plan of care as discussed with RN.
• Prepares patients for procedures and administers medications as prescribed.
• Directs and assists in supervising Patient Care Techs and provides patient education as needed.
