Person Memorial Hospital in Roxboro, North Carolina, is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for long-term care on a PRN basis. This unit cares for elderly and chronic patients, collaborating with labs, rehab, hospice, and psychiatric teams.

The role emphasizes patient-centered care, documentation in EMR, and adherence to the care plan. RN supervision is provided, with opportunities to advance in a supportive hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current state Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required upon hire.
• New grads are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Under supervision of an RN, carries out and documents assigned tasks and nursing interventions as addressed in the plan of care.
• Monitors each patient for physical and psychosocial needs and alters plan of care as discussed with RN.
• Prepares patients for OR and special procedures.
• Administers medication by all routes, performs venipuncture and IV therapy.
• Directs and assists in the supervision of Patient Care Techs.
• Assists patient with activities of daily living including hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
