Job summary

Liberty Healthcare and Rehabilitation Services in Pinehurst, NC, is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our care team. The LPN will assist with nursing services on the unit under the supervision of a Registered Nurse and support patient safety and comfort in a geriatric setting.

The ideal candidate holds an NC LPN license, is CPR certified annually, and is willing to serve as charge nurse and respond to emergencies to ensure adequate coverage.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Licensed Practical Nurse, graduated from an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current, valid North Carolina Board of Nursing license with renewal every other year.
• Willing to work as charge nurse and be available during emergencies to ensure coverage.
• Ability to provide quality nursing care to geriatric patients and follow physicians' orders.
• CPR certified yearly.
• Attend in-service training and staff meetings as required.

Responsibilities

• Assists in directing nursing services for unit/hall under RN supervision.
• Delegates duties to nursing staff and monitors performance under RN supervision.
• Observes patients for signs of adverse change including physical and mental status.
• Notifies attending physician of emergencies and death; implements changes in orders as instructed by physicians.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
