Job summary

Advocate Health in High Point, NC is recruiting a Licensed Practical Nurse for a full-time float pool position. The role involves 3 twelve-hour night shifts per week (7pm–7am) with four weekend shifts in every six weeks, supporting multiple units across the hospital.

Float staff adapt quickly to varied patient populations while maintaining care standards. Under RN supervision, you’ll provide direct patient care, document care actions, and participate in care planning and patient education.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited or approved program in Practical Nursing.
• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license issued by NC.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers certification obtained within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care per policies and standards.
• Assist with assessments and document data and responses.
• Help develop and implement care plans under RN supervision.
• Support patient teaching per care plan.
