Job summary

Advocate Health in High Point, NC is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for the Nursing Float Pool. You will provide direct patient care across units, under RN supervision, and support staffing and patient safety in an acute and intermediate care setting.

The role requires an NC-licensed LPN, an accredited PN program, and BLS certification (within 6 months). Full-time, 36 hours/week, 3 shifts (7pm–7am) with weekend coverage, and competitive benefits offered.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Practical Nursing program.
• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license issued by the state of North Carolina.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care according to established policies, procedures, and standards of care.
• Assists with assessment by collecting data and reporting significant changes to the RN.
• Assists with developing and implementing the plan of care.
• Supports and reinforces patient teaching per the care plan.
• Documents nursing interventions and patient responses; communicates changes to the RN.
