Job summary

New River Comprehensive Treatment Center in Galax, VA seeks an LPN/LVN Dispensing Nurse for full-time MAT/OTP duties. Responsibilities include medication administration, patient assessment, vital signs, and documentation in an outpatient setting.

Role emphasizes mornings, with rotating weekend shifts and a focus on safe dispensing and adherence to regulatory standards. Training provided; growth opportunities available within the CTC network.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing (LPN/LVN).
• Prefer 1 year of nursing experience in behavioral health, outpatient treatment, or addiction recovery.
• Training or experience in outpatient treatment programs is preferred.
• Proficient in EMR systems and clinical software.

Responsibilities

• Work under supervision of Nursing Supervisor, Medical Director, and Clinic Director.
• Prepare and administer medications as ordered accurately and timely.
• Document medication administration and nursing care in patient records.
• Maintain inventory of medication stock per DEA, FDA and regulatory requirements.
• Keep accurate records of medications received and dispensed.
• Allocate ~90% of time to medication administration; remainder for other duties.
• Conduct and process urine and/or blood samples and monitor patient outcomes.
• Complete documentation per clinic standards.
• May transport medication to other locations or work on a CTC Mobile Unit.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
