Job summary

HAN Staff is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Level 2 in Oklahoma City, OK to deliver direct patient care in a correctional healthcare setting. This role offers local pay, W2 employment, and opportunities to contribute to patient care.

The ideal candidate holds an Oklahoma LPN license (or eNLC) with at least one year of LPN experience, can work various shifts at multiple locations, and commits to safety and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Valid permanent Oklahoma LPN license plus one year of practical nursing experience or LPN license recognized by eNLC plus one year of experience.
• Minimum of 1 year of LPN experience within the last 3 years.
• Copy of PSV from licensing board or verification agency if required.
• Copy of current required certifications (e.g., BLS, N95, immunizations, TB test).

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care under supervision of RN or physician.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Monitor and record vital signs and report changes.
• Assist with patient assessments and care plans.
• Perform wound care and specimen collection.
• Document patient care in EMR.
• Educate patients and families on health maintenance and treatment plans.
• Assist with admissions, discharges, and transfers.
• Maintain a safe, clean, therapeutic environment.
• Follow infection control and regulatory standards.

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Duties & Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or physician.

• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.

• Monitor and record patients' vital signs and report changes in condition.

• Assist with patient assessments and implement individualized care plans.

• Perform wound care, specimen collection, and other basic nursing procedures.

• Document patient care accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR).

• Educate patients and families on health maintenance and treatment plans.

• Assist with admissions, discharges, and transfers.

• Maintain a safe, clean, and therapeutic environment for patients.

• Follow facility policies, infection control protocols, and regulatory standards.

Minimum Qualifications

• Education and Experience requirements at this level consist of possession of a valid permanent Oklahoma license as a licensed practical nurse as approved by the Oklahoma Board of Nursing plus one year of practical nursing experience; or Licensed Practical Nurse License recognized by the Enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC) plus one year of practical nursing experience

• Minimum of 1 year of recent experience within the last 3 years as a LPN.

• Copy of current, completed Primary Source Verification (PSV) from the appropriate licensing board or verification agency, if required.

• Copy of all current required certifications and compliance documents (e.g., .BLS, N95 fit test, immunization records, TB test, or other client‑specific requirements).
