Job summary

Kaiser Permanente Hawaii in Wailuku seeks an experienced Licensed Practical Nurse to provide direct and indirect nursing care in outpatient settings under the supervision of RNs and practitioners. The role also orients and serves as a resource to LPN Clinic/Meds I as needed.

Responsibilities include preparing records, administering treatments and medications, documenting care, and coordinating with the care team to revise plans.

Qualifications

• Twelve (12) months LPN experience.
• Hawaii State Board of Nursing approved curriculum for LPN licensure.
• Licensed Practical Nurse (Hawaii) required at hire
• Basic Life Support from American Heart Association

Responsibilities

• Provides direct and indirect nursing care in outpatient setting under supervision of RN and practitioner.
• Orients and serves as resource to LPN Clinic/Meds I as needed.
• Administers treatments, immunizations, and medications as prescribed by practitioner; prepares medications for practitioner use.
• Documents orders and patient responses; observes and reports data to RN/practitioners; revises care plan as needed.
• Manages vaccine data and maintains immunization records; ensures proper storage and inventory per guidelines.
• Trains and supports other staff; participates in orientation and emergency procedures.
• Performs basic nursing tasks; ensures patient safety and quality care in accordance with standards.
