Job summary

Vitality Living in Coral Reef Community seeks an LPN Charge Nurse to join a compassionate team dedicated to high-quality resident care. The role focuses on medication administration, care coordination, and accurate documentation in a supportive environment.

You will work under the Wellness Director, contribute to service plan development, and help maintain a vibrant, person-centered culture for residents and families. This is a full-time position with benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Must have a current LPN/LVN license and CPR certification.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to perform and maintain accurate charting and documentation.
• Knowledge of medication administration policies and procedures.
• Commitment to resident-centered care and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Administer or assist residents to self-administer medications and treatments.
• Collect, store, and transport specimens for laboratory studies as needed.
• Communicate with physicians via telephone, fax, and Physician Communication forms.
• Ensure physician orders, lab reports and data are scanned and filed in resident charts.
• Assist in developing and revising service plans; inform Wellness Director of resident needs and preferences.
• Perform other duties as directed by Wellness Director.

LPN Charge Nurse Requirements:

• Administer or assist residents to self-administer medications and treatments
• Collect, store, and ensure the transport of certain specimens for laboratory studies
• Communicate with physicians via telephone, fax, and Physician Communication forms
• Ensure physician orders, laboratory reports, and other data is scanned and filed in resident charts
• Assist in the development and revision of service plans. Inform Wellness Director of current resident needs and preferences as well as successful service approaches
• Perform other duties as directed by Wellness Director

• Must be at least 21 years old
• Demonstrate ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing
• Meet state or provincial health related requirements
• Maintain current professional license and CPR certification if currently LPN/LVN
• Maintain any other certifications as required by state or provincial regulations
