Job summary

Vitality Living Windermere Community is seeking an LPN Charge Nurse to provide medication administration and clinical support for residents. The role involves coordinating with physicians, maintaining accurate charts, and supporting care plans to ensure high-quality resident care.

Candidates must hold a valid LPN license and CPR certification if applicable, be at least 21 years old, and communicate effectively in English.

Qualifications

• Must be a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in good standing.
• Maintain CPR certification if currently LPN/LVN.
• Must be at least 21 years old.

Responsibilities

• Administer or assist residents with medications and treatments.
• Collect, store, and transport specimens for lab studies.
• Communicate with physicians by phone, fax, and forms.
• Ensure orders and reports are scanned and filed in resident charts.
• Assist in developing and revising service plans; inform Wellness Director of resident needs.

LPN Charge Nurse Requirements:

• Administrate or assist residents to self-administer medications and treatments
• Collect, store, and ensure transport of certain specimens for laboratory studies
• Communicate with physicians via telephone, fax, and Physician Communication forms
• Ensure physician orders, laboratory reports, and other data is scanned and filed in resident charts
• Assist in the development and revision of service plans. Inform Wellness Director of current resident needs and preferences as well as successful service approaches
• Perform other duties as directed by Wellness Director

• Meet state or provincial health related requirements
• Maintain current professional license and CPR certification if currently LPN/LVN
