Job summary

Vitality Living in Athens, GA, is seeking an LPN Charge Nurse to support residents with medications, treatments, and coordinated care. You will collaborate with physicians, help maintain accurate charts, and assist in creating and updating service plans.

The role emphasizes communication, professionalism, and compassionate care. The position requires an LPN/LVN license, CPR certification, and a commitment to high-quality resident care.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Maintain current LPN/LVN license and CPR certification.
• Maintain required state certifications.

Responsibilities

• Administer or assist residents with medications and treatments.
• Collect, store, and transport specimens for lab studies.
• Communicate with physicians via phone, fax, and forms.
• Scan and file physician orders, lab reports and data in resident charts.
• Assist in developing and revising service plans; inform Wellness Director of resident needs and preferences.
• Perform other duties as directed by Wellness Director.

LPN Charge Nurse Requirements:

• Administrate or assist residents to self-administer medications and treatments
• Collect, store, and ensure transport of certain specimens for laboratory studies
• Communicate with physicians via telephone, fax, and Physician Communication forms
• Ensure physician orders, laboratory reports, and other data is scanned and filed in resident charts
• Assist in the development and revision of service plans. Inform Wellness Director of current resident needs and preferences as well as successful service approaches
• Perform other duties as directed by Wellness Director
