Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to support patient care in Illinois. The LPN will work with RNs on high-acuity patients and assist with UNL patient load when needed.

Responsibilities include med administration (oral/IV piggyback), trach care, NG tube care, ostomy care, dressing changes, and documentation after the RN’s initial assessment, with coordination of orders with physicians/APPs.

Qualifications

• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) licensed in Illinois (IDFPR).
• LPN certification required to practice.
• Experience with acute care nursing is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Chart assessments on assigned patients after RN completes initial assessment.
• Coordinate with physicians/APPs to receive orders and coordinate care.
• Perform trach care as needed.
• Insert and care for NG tube and feedings.
• Care for and change ostomy.
• Administer medications and hang IV piggybacks and fluids as prescribed.
• Perform dressing changes as needed.
