Responsibilities

• Passes medications and hangs IV piggybacks and fluids (excluding IV Push).
• Charts initial assessments and contributes to care plans after RN initiation.
• Assist RN with new care plans and coordinate with physicians/APPs.
• Provide trach care, dressing changes, NG tube care and feedings as directed.
• Reinforce discharge instructions and patient education.
• Support ostomy care and routine documentation of patient progress.
