Job summary

Carle Health in Champaign, IL seeks a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to support high-acuity patient care on the unit. You will perform delegated nursing tasks under an RN, document assessments, and help implement care plans.

Responsibilities include med administration, IV piggybacks, NG tube care, ostomy management, trach care, and coordination with physicians and APPs. A two-year commitment with a $2,500 sign-on bonus is offered.

Qualifications

• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Illinois (IDFPR)
• LPN license required, IL Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR)
• Communication with physicians/APPS to coordinate care

Responsibilities

• Charts assessments on assigned patients after RN initial assessment
• Charts care plans opened by RN and updates as needed
• Communicates with physicians/APPs for orders and care coordination
• Perfoms trach care, NG tube insertion and care, and NG feedings
• Care for ostomy and dressing changes
• Administers medications and IV piggybacks/fluids
• Reinforces education and discharge instructions
