Alpha School is hiring a full-time on-site Guide to lead K-3 literacy-rich instruction across daily routines and targeted reading sessions at our Santa Monica campus. The role emphasizes diagnostic, data-driven instruction and continuous student progress.

You will work with 4–9 year olds, split roughly 70/30 between classroom-led app-based learning and targeted reading sessions, with relocation support and benefits. UCLA-ready environment and strong literacy focus.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree required; teaching certificate not required.
• Structured-literacy training or a master's in reading/literacy is required.
• Experience with reading platforms and diagnostic assessments preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Guide students through app-based core learning and identify gaps.
• Run targeted structured-literacy sessions for 2–4 students based on a designed sequence.
• Lead morning launch, life-skills workshops, and check-chart activities.
• Drive students to weekly app goals with school currency, leaderboards, and gamification.
• Stay with students through lunch, recess, and reading interventions with a plan for each child.

Educación

Bachelor's degree in any subject

Structured-literacy training (LETRS, IMSE, Orton-Gillingham, Wilson Reading System, Fundations, UFLI, CERI, Neuhaus, SIPPS, Really Great Reading) or master's in reading or literacy

Herramientas
