Job summary

IMEG is hiring a Technology Designer in Chicago, Illinois to support the analysis, design, and implementation oversight of low-voltage technology systems in buildings. You will work with engineers and consultants to deliver solutions that drive positive outcomes for clients, across education, institutional, and MEP markets.

Role involves planning, budgeting, and client communication while collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet project goals.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in BIM or Engineering preferred.
• 3 years minimum, 4 preferred in building design consulting or construction.
• Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and concepts for technical plans.

Responsibilities

• Assist in design and analysis of IT structured cabling, AV, security, and other low-voltage systems.
• Use engineering software to create designs, specs, and calculations per code and IMEG standards.
• Interact with clients to understand needs and communicate technical info effectively.
• Build and maintain client relationships through professional communication.
• Support project execution and planning to meet deadlines and objectives.
• Document design decisions and monitor progress across multidisciplinary teams.
• Analyze tasks and propose practical solutions with senior engineers.
