Job summary

Wachter is seeking a self-motivated Low Voltage Service Technician for service and installation projects across the United States. You will install and troubleshoot low voltage cabling in commercial settings, handle fiber optics, and maintain communication networks while traveling regionally.

Flexibility for varying shifts and on-call work is required. Qualified candidates will have CAT5e, fiber, and network experience, plus industry certifications.

Qualifications

• Data Cable Technician with CAT5e, fiber optic, and network experience.
• Industry-specific certifications (BICSI, Systimax, Panduit, Beldon, Corning) are a huge plus.
• Shifts vary; may include early mornings, nights, weekends; travel within radius.
• Flexible and willing to work on-call, early morning, day, night, and weekend shifts.

Responsibilities

• Installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of cabling infrastructure.
• Run low voltage cabling in commercial buildings, including drilling concrete walls and limited conduit work.
• Ensure cables are neatly tied and bundled per safety regulations.
• Install cable support structures such as J-hooks and racks; innerduct.
• Test newly installed cable systems and components to ensure operation.
• Troubleshoot issues with the cable network.
