Job summary

Fortis Fire & Safety is seeking a Low Voltage Service Technician in Boynton Beach, FL to service security and fire alarm systems, including access control, CCTV, and intrusion systems, with some fire alarm responsibility. You will diagnose, repair, and maintain commercial systems, troubleshoot hardware and software, and support customer satisfaction in field environments.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience servicing commercial low-voltage systems.
• Strong troubleshooting experience with access control, CCTV, or intrusion systems.
• Working knowledge of commercial fire alarm systems and basic service activities.
• Experience with security platforms such as Lenel, Avigilon, Genetec, Software House, Brivo, Honeywell, DSC, Bosch or similar.
• Ability to diagnose wiring, network, power, and device issues.
• Read blueprints, wiring diagrams and technical documentation.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently.
• Proficient with computers, mobile devices and manufacturer software tools.
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Service, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain access control, CCTV, and intrusion systems.
• Diagnose hardware, software, and communication issues on security systems.
• Support fire alarm service activities and system upgrades as needed.
• Respond to customer service requests with timely issue resolution.
• Identify system deficiencies and recommend corrective actions.
• Complete service reports and required documentation on time.
• Communicate with customers before, during, and after visits.
• Coordinate with project managers on status, materials, and service needs.
• Participate in after-hours support and on-call rotation.
