Job summary

VIP Systems in Sarasota, FL is seeking an experienced Low Voltage Service Technician to join our Service Division. You will diagnose, repair, maintain, and commission commercial low-voltage systems while delivering exceptional service to customers.

The ideal candidate has 2–3 years of hands-on experience with access control, surveillance, structured cabling, and IP-based technologies. You must communicate effectively with clients and work independently on challenging technical issues.

Qualifications

Minimum 2-3 years of hands-on experience servicing commercial low-voltage systems.
Proven experience independently troubleshooting and repairing integrated building technologies.

Responsibilities

Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain commercial low-voltage systems.
Respond to scheduled and emergency service calls in a timely and professional manner.
Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, firmware updates, system backups, and operational testing.
Identify causes of system failures and recommend appropriate corrective actions.
Read and interpret construction drawings, complete service tickets, and communicate with customers.
