Level Up Partners in Bloomington, IL is seeking a motivated Low Voltage / Fire & Security Technician with about 3 years of hands-on experience in installing, servicing, and troubleshooting electronic security and fire alarm systems.

The ideal candidate enjoys field work, excels at solving technical problems, and delivering excellent customer service while working with access control, CCTV, intrusion, and fire alarm systems, and traveling to local sites.

Qualifications

• Approximately 3+ years of hands-on experience in electronic security or fire alarm systems.
• Experience with two of the following: access control, CCTV, intrusion, or fire alarm systems.
• Familiarity with basic networking, IP addressing, and cable termination.
• Ability to read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel to local sites.

Responsibilities

• Install, service, troubleshoot, and maintain commercial fire alarm and electronic security systems.
• Work with access control, CCTV/IP video surveillance, intrusion detection, and fire alarm systems.
• Diagnose and resolve equipment malfunctions, wiring issues, and system communication problems.
• Install and terminate low-voltage wiring, including CAT5e, CAT6, and other system cabling.
• Assist with programming, testing, and commissioning security and fire alarm equipment.
• Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
• Perform system inspections, preventative maintenance, and service calls.
• Work independently and with others to complete projects.
• Communicate professionally with customers and provide updates on service activities.
• Maintain accurate service documentation and follow safety procedures.
