Job summary

Instrata Technologies, LLC. seeks an entry-level Installer to support installation of low-voltage cabling and communication systems on commercial construction projects. You’ll assist with layout, pulling, termination, and testing of structured cabling (fiber, copper, AV, access control).

Role emphasizes hands-on work, safety, and learning on the job, with mentorship and opportunities to grow into Lead or Technician roles within a safety-first team.

Qualifications

• Hands-on background in commercial construction or entry-level cabling experience preferred.
• Eagerness to gain technical knowledge and grow your skillset on the job.
• Strong work ethic, punctuality, and ability to follow instructions with care.
• Comfort working with hand tools, cables, and installation processes.

Responsibilities

• Assist with pulling, dressing, terminating, and labeling Coax, UTP, DAS, AV, Access Control, Intrusion Detection, and Fiber cabling.
• Help install racks, cabinets, cable supports, and fire-stopping materials according to spec and safety code.
• Assist with mounting and basic setup of electronic equipment (switches, cameras, UPS units).
• Provide required hand tools and demonstrate proper usage for tasks assigned.
• Learn to terminate copper connectors and support testing procedures with supervision.
• Understand blueprints, schematics, and installation instructions under the guidance of Leads or Project Managers.
• Promote and model proper safety procedures, PPE usage, and site cleanliness.
• Share daily updates with Project Leads and follow through on assigned responsibilities.
• Understand bonding, grounding, and firestopping concepts and grow knowledge with the Lead.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment and manage tools/materials efficiently.
• Be open to jobsite changes, short travel assignments, and varied schedules as needed.
