Job summary

Instrata seeks a skilled cabling installer to install, terminate and test low-voltage cables including twisted pair, coax, fiber, and more across telecom spaces. You will label, document, and ensure conformity with ANSI/TIA/EIA standards and NEC, with the ability to lift heavy loads and work at elevations in telecom environments.

Responsibilities include building telecom rooms, routing cables, dressing work areas, and ensuring safe, compliant installations while coordinating with project teams

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; equivalent work experience considered.
• 3–5 years in cabling and telecom system installation (including CCTV, access control, wireless).
• Strong knowledge of ANSI/TIA/EIA cabling standards and NEC.
• Ability to lift up to 100 pounds and work at heights.

Responsibilities

• Install cable pathway systems (trays, racks, J-hooks, or D-rings).
• Terminate, test, label and document horizontal and backbone cables.
• Dress and route cables into telecom closets and work areas.
• Build out telecom and equipment rooms.
• Fire-stop cable penetrations.
• Test, troubleshoot and document test results for cabling.
• Follow EH&S policies and report scope changes or issues.
