Job summary

Modern Machining Solutions Inc seeks an Emergency Medicine Physician in Mattoon, Illinois, for a full-time position with a $475,000 annual compensation. The role includes three 10-hour shifts per month (6:00 AM–4:00 PM, 1:00 PM–11:00 PM, 4:00 PM–2:00 AM) and double-physician coverage to optimize workload and reduce burnout.

Requirements include an MD/DO, BC/BE in EM (or extensive ED experience), IL license or eligibility, and DEA registration.

Qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited institution.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine or extensive ED experience.
• Active, unrestricted Illinois medical license or immediate eligibility.
• Valid DEA registration.
• Strong interpersonal and team-oriented communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality emergency care in a 32-bed ED.
• Maintain double-physician coverage with a colleague.
• Stabilize and coordinate transfers for high-acuity cases.
• Rotate through three 10-hour shifts monthly (6:00–16:00, 13:00–23:00, 16:00–02:00).
• Coordinate with on-site specialties and document encounters in EMR.
