Job summary

CAVU Experiences (AMER) LLC, based at Reno (RNO) Airport, NV, is seeking an Assistant General Manager to lead front-of-house and kitchen teams in our Escape Lounge. This full-time role requires 40+ hours weekly, with mid-day to afternoon shifts and a focus on guest experiences and operational excellence.

You will drive recruiting, coaching, and engagement while managing P&L, inventory, and compliance in a high-volume hospitality environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in hospitality leadership roles (Assistant Manager, Shift Manager, or similar).
• Proven ability to lead, coach, and motivate teams to deliver exceptional guest experiences.
• Strong business acumen, including inventory management, cost control, and financial performance.
• Knowledge of food safety, allergen management, responsible alcohol service, and operational compliance.

• Hours: 40+
• Salary Range: $56,966.00- $65,000 based on experience
• Schedule: Open availability required. While we aim to maintain a consistent weekly schedule, most shifts will be scheduled during mid-day and afternoon hours. Flexibility to support varying business needs is expected.

About the Role

As Assistant General Manager at the airport Escape Lounge you'll lead front-of-house and kitchen teams to deliver exceptional guest experiences and operational excellence. In this fast-paced, high-volume environment, you'll develop high-performing teams, drive business results, and ensure every guest receives outstanding service.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead a service-focused culture that delivers exceptional guest experiences, drives revenue and loyalty, maintains food and beverage standards, manages guest feedback, and ensures efficient daily operations.
• Support financial performance through effective P&L management, inventory control, waste reduction, cost management, vendor coordination, and clear communication of business results.
• Recruit, develop, coach, and engage high-performing team members while fostering a positive, inclusive workplace culture.
• Ensure compliance with all company, health, safety, licensing, regulatory, and airport operational requirements.

Working in a Premium Airport Lounge

• This role is based within a busy airport lounge serving departing passengers.
• The operation runs across extended airport opening hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Successful candidates must be able to obtain and maintain airport security clearance.
• You'll work in a fast-paced environment where exceptional hospitality and seamless guest service are essential.

What Will Make You Successful?

You'll be a hands-on hospitality leader with experience leading high-performing teams in fast-paced, guest-focused environments. You thrive under pressure, lead by example, and understand how to balance operational excellence, team engagement, and business performance.

• 3+ years of experience in a hospitality, restaurant, retail, or catering leadership role (Assistant Manager, Shift Manager, or similar)
• Proven ability to lead, coach, and motivate teams to deliver exceptional guest experiences
• Strong business acumen, including inventory management, cost control, and financial performance
• Knowledge of food safety, allergen management, responsible alcohol service, and operational compliance
• Experience managing high-volume food and beverage operations
• Skilled in recruiting, performance management, employee relations, and talent development
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and conflict-resolution skills
• Ability to prioritize, delegate, and adapt in a fast-paced environment
• Comfortable standing and moving throughout the operation for extended periods
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and other business systems
• Ability to obtain and maintain any required airport security clearances
