Job summary

Crestline Hotels & Resorts is seeking a Lounge Bartender in Baton Rouge to take orders, prepare and serve beverages and light meals per hotel standards. You will maintain stock, ensure cleanliness, and handle cash and POS transactions accurately.

The role requires knowledge of menu items, liquor regulations, and upselling techniques. Certifications in liquor/wine/food service and CPR are preferred. Must be at least 21 years old with good English communication.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED or equivalent work experience.
Minimum 21 years of age to serve alcoholic beverages.
1 year experience as a Server or Barback preferred but not required.
Must have good understanding of the English language.
Knowledge of drink recipes and beverage service standards.
Certification in liquor, wine and food service.
Certification in an alcohol awareness program.
Certification in CPR.
Ability to input/access information in the property management system/computers/POS system.
Guest relations training and ability to engage guests positively.

Responsibilities

Greet guests and take orders (food & beverage) with upselling in mind.
Input orders and ensure transmission is verified by Bartender/Kitchen.
Maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of work areas.
Present guest checks and process payments via Bartender/Cashier, adhering to cash policies.
Keep tables and service areas clean and well organized.
Document maintenance needs on work orders and report to Manager.
