ADESA, a Carvana-owned company, seeks a Lot Operations Associate in Michigan to support on-site vehicle movement and inventory flow. You will drive service/tow trucks and forklifts, stage vehicles for sale, and ensure readiness for auction days.

The role emphasizes teamwork, attention to detail, and strong communication with shop and operations teams to maintain accurate records and a smooth sale process.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Must be 18 years of age and have a valid driver's license that meets requirements.
• Able to safely drive a variety of vehicle makes and sizes, including tow trucks, forklifts, and the service truck.
• Automotive or auction experience preferred.
• Proficiency with computer systems and applications.
• Obtain and maintain forklift certification.

Responsibilities

• Lot Operations Support: Prepare and stage vehicles for sale, sticker and mark vehicles, move vehicles using a lot tow truck or forklift, and operate the service truck to support the driver team.
• Inventory Accuracy: Scan the lot and record vehicle movements on electronic devices.
• Vehicle Readiness: Assist with jumping vehicles, adding fluids, air in tires, and verifying status while keeping the lot organized.
• Property Management: Remove personal property from vehicles.
• Operational Flow: Coordinate with shop and operations teams to ensure efficient inventory flow from check-in to sale line.
• Customer & Admin Support: Provide customer service support and coordinate with administrative teams for sale day activities.
• Vehicle Identification: Confirm mileage, make, year, and VIN for accurate records.
• Safety & Maintenance: Maintain safe work areas and report hazards.
